The first gathering of the 2006 campaign began with a stumble through 'The
Man With The Smile' and ended with the obligatory masacree of some cover songs;
in between times we put Andy the Bass through his paces and- even though I say so myself- started to sound pretty good, even on the more obscure numbers
(of which, in the end, there were quite a few). Next session's next week-
I'll report back then- L.H.
The (un)usual suspects....
The line-up for 2006
Malcolm, Leigh, Andy & Paul at Ruff Rockers. Uxbridge 11/6/06
Rehearsal 21/6/06
'You know it's going to be a good rehearsal when there's nowhere to park.
Emerging triumphantly from the B&Q car park Andy and myself stumbled into Brighton Electric studios and enquired about parking- 'There's a B&Q car park across the road' said the man on the door. 'Whatever you do, don't leave it there...'.
I tried to put the fact that my Les Paul Junior was in
the boot out of my mind and instead wondered exactly what Malcolm had booked
us into...
He'd actually found us an excellent rehearsal room, and a fine time was had by all. No photos this time but it sounded good- which, if you think about it, is the main thing.
And we're all really looking forward to the gigs
which at this stage of the game is a great feeling. Hope you are too....

Rehearsal 05/07/06
For our 'final' rehearsal before this month's shows we returned to Brighton's scariest studio for a highly enjoyable blast through nearly 20 songs, most of which should still be in the set by the time we get to
West Drayton. Everyone on top form, all in good humour- why couldn't it always have been like this?!?

With a combined age of well over 160 (or Mick + Keith plus a bit of Charlie,),I saw the future of Rock n Roll !!
Well, probably not, but... as the evening wore on Paul's cymbals were creeeping higher and higher.
